TIMIKA (MIMIKA) – Mass layoffs by management of PT Redpath Indonesia to 111 workers got rejection.
The employees who refused the termination, held a rally. They require management to keep their promises
"We ask the government to see our problem, we hope to be able to do a meeting between management and employees related to the layoff of 111 employees unilaterally," the chairman of the union, Isak Adadikam demand on Tuesday (26/5)
"We demand clarity of the provision of money related to the PTFI strike last year," he said.
According to union, the management should keep their promise. Give incentives to employees who work, even though it was strike on Freeport Indonesia.
In his speech, the workers ask for clarification related to the unilateral dismissal and they asked the government to help resolve this problem. They also urged the management to re-hire employees.
